William A. Wells

February 10, 1936 — May 20, 2017

              Mr. William A. Wells, age 81 of Albany Township, PA passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home with his loving spouse at his side.             Bill was born February 10, 1936, in Sayre, PA, a son of the late Leland and Mabel Vanderpool Morningstar Wells.  He married the former Mary McLean on May 22, 1969 and they would have celebrated their 48 wedding anniversary this Monday.  He served in the US Air Force during Korea.             Bill worked for McCarty Driscoll Saw Mill in Forksville, PA, Herman Rynveld Son’s Corp. in New Albany and finally from Cornell Mfg. Co, in Laceyville, PA.             He was a member of AJ Bird Memorial Post #384 V.F.W., New Albany and Sonestown Post #601 American Legion.  He loved the outdoors and hunting, fishing and trapping.     Surviving: Spouse: Mary                                                     at home   Three step-sons: Mark D. Harvey                                       Keene, NH   Step-daughter: Betty Ann Harvey                                    Sopchoppy, FL   Sister: Shirley Barnett                                         Saco, PA   Numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.             He was predeceased by five brothers: Russell Wells, Ralph Wells, Leland Wells, Wayne Morningstar and Carl Wells, as well as five sisters: Beatrice Shedden, Mildred Teeter, Evelyn Shedden, Marie Moore and Jean Lee,             Funeral arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family under the direction of the P.
