Robert Henry Vohrer Jr.

          Robert Henry Vohrer Jr., age 79, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, PA, after a brief illness.

          Robert was born in Queens, New York City, on June 6, 1941, a son of the late Robert H. and Elizabeth Berner Vohrer Sr. He graduated from High School in New York City and also from the New York City Police Academy in 1953.  He was New York City policeman and after retiring, moved to Pennsylvania and worked in security for the Bendix Flight Systems, in South Montrose, PA.  He married the former Connie Silverstrim on May 4, 1994, and they celebrated 27 years of marriage.

          After retiring he and Connie enjoyed traveling and viewing the local landscapes and newly constructed housing.

          He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kristen Vohrer.

          Abiding with Robert’s wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
