Robert Phillip Silfee, age 65, of Mildred, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home.

 

Robert was born in Scranton, PA, on March 24, 1958, a son of the late Willard Charles and Dorothy L. Wesley Silfee. He attended Elk Lake Schools. 

 

In his early years he worked on a family friend’s farm and then went to P&G for a short while before working at Hoffman New-Yorker in Dushore, PA, for the last several years.

 

He enjoyed collecting different things, especially pennies. He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and hanging out with his friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by a grandson, Blade Alexander Kelley on October 6, 2023, a special nephew Anthony Vaow on July 7, 2023. He was also predeceased by his siblings: Richard Allen “Rick” Silfee in 2007, Wanda Lee D’Adamo in 2013, George Charles Silfee in 2015, Delilah R. “Dee” VanHouten in 2021, and Betty J. Sickler in 2021.

 

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with a celebration of life to be announced.       

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Homer Funeral Home, PO Box 1, Dushore, PA 18614 to help the family with final expenses. 

 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
