Mr. Robert Peter Franko Sr., age 92, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, June 18, 2026, at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Towanda.

Bob was born at home on the family farm on January 21, 1934, in Falls, Wyoming Co., PA, a son of the late Stephen Henry and Stella Korpusik Franko.

He graduated from Falls Overfield High School in 1952.

Bob married the former Helen Ann Root of Mehoopany, PA, on May 4, 1957. They were happily married almost 48 years before Helen's passing on February 5, 2005.

Bob worked for Procter & Gamble for many years before his retirement.

A faithful Catholic, Sir Bob was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, Wyalusing, PA, and a 4th degree Knight, a life member of St. John Neumann Shrine Assembly #979, Towanda and a life member of the St. John Neumann Shrine Council #12406 of Dushore and Wyalusing. 

He enjoyed going to Lake Oneida and spending time with his family.

He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Rose Marie Mitchell Jones on January 26, 2007, a son-in-law, Donald J. Faltine Jr. on August 9, 2021, and a brother Stephen H. Franko Jr. on May 12, 2019.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wyalusing, PA, with Rev. Jose Joseph Kuriappilly, presiding. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Stowell, PA.
