Rita D. Tubach

          Mrs. Rita D. Gleockler Tubach, age 90, of Forksville, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Valley View Center in Montoursville, PA.

          Rita was born June 20, 1930, in Forksville, PA, a daughter of the late of the late Chester F. and Ada Yonkin Gleockler.  She graduated from the Elkland Township Vocational High School, Estella, PA, and was a member of the class of 1948.  She married W. Earl Tubach of Wilmot on August 26, 1950.  Earl predeceased her on December 5, 1985.

          Rita worked at the World’s End State Park, in Forksville, PA, and at the Dar-Way Nursing Home, in Estella, PA.

          Rita was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, PA, and a member of Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion Auxiliary, in Dushore, PA.

          She spent her life as a homemaker devoted to her husband and family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

­­­18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers, Chester E. Gleockler on October 25, 2000, Leon C. “Babe” Gleockler on April 1, 2008, and Richard C. Gleockler, on January 25, 2012.

A Funeral Service was held on Monday, November 16, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with her pastor, the Rev. Thomas J. Major, presiding.  Interment was in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cummiskey, PA.

          Pallbearers were: grandsons, Brian Hoffman, Matthew Tubach, Jordan Tubach, Gary Tubach, Jason Tubach, and Nichoals Tubach.
