Rita Mary Cullen

Rita Mary Cullen, 76, died June 10, 2019 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center.             Born on June 20, 1942 in New Albany, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen Becraft Cullen. She graduated from St. Basil’s High School in Dushore, PA in 1960. From there she went to Washington, DC and had an illustrious career working for the United States Government, and was a proud civil servant. She retired after more than 30 years, and settled in North Myrtle Beach, SC.             Ms. Cullen is survived by her sisters Katharine Yavorski, Helen-Marie Cooil (Basil), Jeanie Dennie, brothers Thomas Cullen (Debra), David Cullen, her nieces Marie Simone (Joseph), Karen Semone (Charles), Michele Gandhi (Manthan), Julianne Yavorski and nephews John Yavorski, Stephen Yavorski (Kimberly), Matthew Cullen, Andrew Cullen and several great nieces and nephews, as well as loving friends Pat Seaman, Jennifer and Wayne Huggins and Andrea and Wayne Cozlin, and many more too numerous to list. She was pre deceased by her sister Eileen Cullen, brothers in law Edward Yavorski and Joseph Dennie.             Rita enjoyed golf and cherished her “Wild Women” group of friends. She loved her pets dearly. She will be remembered for her capacity for fun, kindness, her quick wit and humor. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was the best friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.                     A funeral Mass for Rita's sister, Eileen Cullen, will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil's Catholic Church, Dushore, PA, at which time Rita will also be remembered.             Arrangements are under the direction of the P.
