Rebecca Nevins

Mrs.  Rebecca Nevins, age 98, formerly of 2nd Street, Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte with her loving family at her side.             Rebecca was born in Falls Township, Buck’s County on July 18, 1918 the daughter of the late Laurence & Gertrude Louise Gunderson Thorpe.  She graduated from High School and married Edward George Nevins on July 6, 1939.  They resided in Morrisville, PA. Ed retired as a superintendent of the composing room for the Trenton Times.  They moved to Wyalusing in 1984, where she and Ed completely restored two Victorian homes.  Ed predeceased her on November 29, 1995.             Rebecca was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother.  Before moving to Wyalusing, Rebecca was a member of the Delaware Valley Choral Society.  In Wyalusing, she was an artist and also an expert gardener.   Surviving: Son:E.
