Mr. Patrick Jerald Delvey, age 70, of Sugar Run, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home while working in his garden.
Pat was born in Randolph, NJ, on April 7, 1955, the son of Joyce Harvey Delvey and the late Joseph Delvey Sr. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1973. He raised a family of two sons and a daughter, in Pen Argyl, PA, while working as a Union pipefitter. He also worked for Warner Lambert as a maintenance supervisor for the boiler operations for 10 years. He retired in 2015, as a 40 year union member of Pipefitters Local 274. This year, he was awarded his 50 year membership of the Union.
While traveling for deer hunting and snowmobiling, he discovered Bradford County and dreamed of retiring in that area. In January of 2005 he was thrilled when he had the opportunity to purchase a 100 year old farm house which he renovated, doing much of the work himself over a number of years. It was also in this time he met his life partner, Barbara Ross Kropelnicki.
Pat was very active, and enjoyed hiking in the state parks, and growing a large vegetable garden that provided food throughout the year. He also raised chickens that provided a daily gift of eggs. Pat was an avid hunter, and enjoyed hunting with his sons and friends. He also enjoyed cooking and making his own wine using grapes that were grown on his property.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Mildred, PA, which is part of the I.H.M. Parish, Dushore, PA.
Patrick was always well liked by everyone he knew and maintained long-
standing relationships, including a recent summer trip to Italy with his best
friend from high school, Ron LaMastro. Just weeks before his passing, he took a trip to Rehoboth Beach to meet up with several high school friends to celebrate their 70th birthdays. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors, but especially his grandchildren. He was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
