Mrs. Naomi Ruth Vargason, age 60, of Monroe Twp., Bradford Co., PA, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre surrounded with love from her family.

Naomi was born on January 31, 1965, in Millville, NJ, a daughter of Flora C. Peterson Trout and the late Paul T. Trout. She grew up in Leesburg, NJ, and graduated from Millville High School in Leesburg, NJ, a member of the class of 1983.

She moved to Pennsylvania in the late 1980’s. She always worked in retail and worked for Dollar General for many years. She was Assistant Manager at the Wysox Dollar General and then her latest position was Store Manager of the Monroeton Dollar General, until ill health forced an early retirement in 2018.

On May 25, 2019, she married Wade Sterling Vargason and they made their home on Beebe Hill Road.

Naomi enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She also loved to travel with her husband Wade. However her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially cooking large family meals.

Naomi is also survived by nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Naomi was predeceased by her father Paul T. Trout Sr. on August 18, 2013, and her father-in-law Ernest I. “Ernie” Vargason on December 29, 2017.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
