Monica Conway, age 64, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at UPMC Muncy Hospital, Muncy, PA.

Monica was born in Media, PA, on August 23, 1959, a daughter of the late Oscar Burl and Catherine A. Nolan Roark.  She graduated from Penncrest High School in Media, PA, a member of the class of 1977. Monica went on to school to become a Paralegal. She married Richard E. Conway of Chester, PA, on March 28, 1978.

Monica, first worked as a paralegal for the Delaware County public defender’s office in Media, PA.   After she and Pic moved to Dushore in 1991, she worked as the secretary for the Sullivan County District Attorney’s office for 12 years, and then for the Red Rock Job Corps Center for 13 years.

Monica was very active at the Turnpike Elementary School and was a PTG officer.  She was also very involved with Pack 48 Cub Scouts, where she was a committee member.

She was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Michael Steven Conway, on March 17, 2019; a brother, Thomas Charles Roark on September 17, 2022; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence House on July 21, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, presiding.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at noon.
