Obituary

Mr. Michael Gregori, age 93, well known lifelong resident of Dushore, PA, passed away on Monday evening, February 23, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded with love and care from his daughter and son.

Mike was born on November 23, 1932, in Peckville, PA, a son of the late Balfino “Baldo” and Mary Gregori. At 10 years old Mike moved to Dushore and was raised by the late Clyde and Anna Krause and grew up alongside their two daughter, Dolores and Jane. He graduated from St. Basil’s High School.

On August 13, 1952, Mike joined the United States Navy. He honorably and faithfully served his country during the Korean Conflict until his discharge on August 1, 1956.

He married the former Rose Alice Taffe of Dushore on February 7, 1957, and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Rose’s passing on January 24, 2016. They made their home and raised their family of a son and daughter in Dushore.

As a child, Mike started working for Souto’s Chicken Farm in Dushore. Later he bartended at Burdan’s and the Dushore Hotel, and delivered beer for Carl Weed. Mike started working for Miller’s Hardware, and was a staple in the store for over 35 years, before his retirement in 1994.

Mike was a member of St. Basil’s Church, in Dushore, PA. Throughout his life, he was a very active member of American Legion Loyalsock Post #996 in Dushore and held many different positions throughout the years, including Past Commander and was also a steward for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge.

He enjoyed hunting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was very proud of his entire family, and always treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
