Melvin "Chip" James Simpson

May 23, 1945 — March 14, 2021

Mr. Melvin James "CHIP" Simpson, age 75, of Gainer Hill Road, Dushore, PA, and formerly of Lititz, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at his home.

 

Chip, as he was known to family and friends, was born on May 23, 1945, a son of the late Melvin E.  & Thelma Davis Simpson . He graduated from Pequea Valley High School, Kinzers, PA, a member of the class of 1963.

 

Chip retired from Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster, PA, and later moved to Sullivan County.

 

He enjoyed the breakfast group gathering in downtown Dushore, golf, and football on TV. He also enjoyed the outdoors in the summertime and his precious dogs.

 

He is survived by his son, Curt Simpson of Coatesville, PA, and sister, Carol Nicklaus, Ronks, PA.

 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judy McComsey and by his brother-in-law, Don Nicklaus.

 

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

 

Memorials to Chip may be made by being kind to animals and putting a smile on someone's face.
