Maxine Patricia Weaver

March 17, 1934 — May 7, 2021

Maxine P. Weaver, age 87, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Friday evening, May 7, 2021, at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, PA.

 

          Maxine was born March 17, 1934, in Sayre, PA, a daughter of the late Martin and Helen Shilkoskie Richlin.  She attended St. Basils School and later she married N. Ellery Weaver Jr., of Dushore, PA, on June 5, 1954.  He predeceased her on August 21, 1991.

 

          Maxine worked at Dushore Lingerie, and at Sull-Craft Mfg. She also worked at the Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion, Dushore, and McDermott Post #452 Post in Mildred, PA. 

 

          She was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, PA, and a member of the Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion Auxiliary, Dushore, PA.

          She was predeceased by a son:  Randy Nathan Weaver on April 9, 2014; daughter-in-law and grand-son, Bernadette Kathleen & Nathan Michael Weaver, on March 28, 2010, and a brother, John Martin Richlin, on December 7, 2017; a sister, Barbara Place, on February 21, 2013; and a brother-in-law: David Miller of Elmira, NY.

 

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, her pastor, presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Basil’s Cemetery.

 

          Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
