Marjorie Lynn Blevins

          Marjorie Lynn Blevins, age 64, of Laporte, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, with her loving family at her side.

          Marjorie was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 16, 1956, one of nine children of the late Richard Kelley and Martha Gross Clarahan. She married Mark Blevins, who predeceased her in December of 2001.

          Marjorie was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA.

Susan (Paul) Benoit, Mary Beth Layton, Lisa Kelley (Robert) Alarcon and Martha Jane (Jason) Method.

Nieces and nephews:

Molly Schmiesing, Michaela Clarahan, Jameson Roberts, Megan Sabo, Zachary Layton, Rhyan Mulrane, Erin Alarcon, Theresa Scarborough, Erin Cooke, Ellen Murch, Katelyn Geramita, Robert Clarahan, Abigail Pitcher, Emma Method, Alicia Method, and Rebecca Method.

Numerous great nieces and nephews.

            Margie's humor and positive attitude, despite her disability, were an example to all who knew and cared for her of how to cope daily with life's difficulties.  She taught us to appreciate the small blessings in life and to smile because there is always hope.

          A Transferal Service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. from the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, her pastor, presiding.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laporte, PA.

          Family and friends may call on Monday morning, May 3, 2021, from 9:30 A.M. until the start of the transferal service at 10:00 A.M.
