Mrs. Loretta M. Kettelberger, age 90, of Laporte, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie, FL, after a brief illness.
Loretta was born, September 11, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Elizabeth Hawthorne Welsh. She graduated from the John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, a member of the class of 1947. She married John A. Kettelberger Sr., on October 21, 1950. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October of 2000 at Sacred Heart Church in Laporte, PA. John predeceased her on April 17, 2002.
Loretta was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Laporte, PA, now part of I.H.M. Parish. She was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, winters in Florida, travel, gardening, reading, and playing bridge.

Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA, with the Rev. John A. Kettelberger Jr., C.M. as Celebrant and the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor, and other members of the Vincentian Order, concelebrating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laporte, PA.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. and on Saturday, Nov. 30th, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
Memorial contributions in Loretta’s memory may be sent to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal, 475 East Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144.
