Lila Pearl Potter

Mrs. Lila Pearl Kunkle Potter, age 86, of Towanda, PA, passed away late Thursday evening, October 4, 2018, 8 days shy of her 87^th birthday, at the Guthrie Memorial Skilled Nursing Unit surrounded by her loving family.

Lila was born on October 12, 1931, at home in Sheshequin, Twp., PA, a daughter of the late Harold F. “Harry” and Myrtle D. Vanderpool Kunkle.

She worked at Herman Rynveld’s Son Wreath Co. in New Albany and also worked at the Blue Swan in Sayre.

She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid card player, in later years she enjoyed watching baseball, softball, and wrestling on TV. She also was a diehard Elvis fan and greatly enjoyed his music.

          Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son, Donald Potter; a brother, Robert W. Kunkle Sr. on August 26, 2010, and two sisters, Betty Herman on December 2, 2002, and Marian Detweiler on September 7, 1982.

           A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., at the Wysox Cemetery, Wysox, PA, with the Rev. Thomas Blackall, officiating.

          Memorial contributions may be directed to the Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, Resident Activity Fund, 91 Hospital Drive, Towanda, PA 18848.
