Joseph T. “Joe Joe” Lang, age 69, lifelong resident of Mildred, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home in Mildred, PA.

        Joe was born on March 23, 1948, a son of the late Joseph M. & Dorothy A. McMahon Lang of Mildred, PA.  He graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1966

        Joe began working for Masonite Corp, in Wysox, PA, on July 22, 1968.  He retired as a Die Form Foreman in July 2014, after 46 years of service.

        He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA; a 3^rd Degree member of K of C Council No. 12406, Dushore, PA; a 41 yr. member of B.P.O.E. Elks lodge #2191, Towanda, PA, and a member of the Ber-Mil Fire and Ambulance Co.

        Joe enjoyed driving his corvette and attending NASCAR races.

And numerous cousins. He was predecease by his brother, Edward J. “Roger” Lang, of Dushore, PA on Friday, December 04, 2009.

        A Transferal Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2107 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Richard Rojas, his pastor, presiding.  Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

        Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.

        The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be sent to the Mildred Fire and Ambulance Co., PO Box 74, Mildred, PA 18632.
