James Edward Punch

February 13, 1946 — January 7, 2020

James Edward Punch, age 73, of Mildred, PA passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 07, 2020 at the Robert Packer Hospital, in Sayre, PA.

 

          Jim was born in Bryant, TN, February 13, 1946, the son of the late James Nicholas & Edith Lambert Bryant Punch.  He graduated from the Brighton High School, Brighton, MA, a member of the class of 1964.

 

          He married the former Diana Burridge of Meshoppen, PA, on August 18, 1979.

 

          He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed as an accountant for U.P.S., retiring in 2000 after 28 years of service.  They resided in Cambridge, MA, until retiring to Mildred, PA, in 2015.

 

          Jim was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Towanda, PA.  He was a loving spouse, father and grandfather and enjoyed morning coffee at the Dandy in Mildred and talking with his fellow servicemen at the Mildred Legion.

 

          He was a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, in Mildred, PA and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
