Hazel Kathryn Wettlaufer

Hazel Kathryn Wettlaufer, age 95, of Dushore, PA, passed away on early Wednesday morning, March 16, 2022, at the Highlands Health Care and Restoration Center, in Laporte, PA.

          Hazel was born October 25, 1926, in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA,  a daughter of the late John Luther and Kathryn Martin Henry.

She married George Conrad Wettlaufer Sr. on November 14, 1945. He predeceased her on January 10, 2011, after 65 years of marriage.

          Hazel retired as the office manager for George Wettlaufer Logging.  She had previously worked for Weldon Mfg., in Williamsport for 14 years, and for serveral years at the former Sylvania Mfg. in Montoursville, PA, and 7 years at the Sylvania Plant in Clearfield County, PA.

          Hazel enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, and having family dinners. She excelled in making cinnamon buns and pies.

She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Bruno John Guglielmi Jr., on July 7, 1983, and a grandson, Bruno John Guglielmi III on July 2, 2000.                                                         

A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in the Barbours Cemetery.
