Mr. Harold Anthony Lecuyer, 85, of Stevensville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 3, 2026, with his loving family at his side.
Harold was born in Toms River, NJ, on May 2, 1941, the son of the late Albert Philip and Mary Ione Roberson Lecuyer. He attended school in Toms River and began his career as a stone mason. He later started his own company known as Cranmer & Lecuyer Mason Contractors in Toms River. He later moved to Naples, Florida where he continued to operate his firm.
He married the former Kathleen Therese Mahler on February 24, 1973.
Before retirement, he settled in Bradford County in 1980, where he enjoyed hunting and took great pride in his French and Native American heritage. He identified as Métis (of mixed French and Indigenous ancestry), a word that was proudly tattooed on his arm. He had a lifelong love of animals and was known for his strong work ethic. He built a veal barn entirely by himself and successfully raised 320 head of veal calves for 11 years. For 25 years, he raised and bred high-quality Miniature Dachshunds through his beloved Hillside Kennel, earning a reputation for excellence and dedication to the breed
He was a life member of the Toms River Fire Company.

He was predeceased by two brothers: Albert Lecuyer and William Lecuyer.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in his memory may be sent to St. Jude’s Memorial Giving, 501 St., Memphis, TN 38105.
