Germaine Cassamajor

          Germaine Cassamajor, age 94, of New Albany, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at her home with her loving daughter at her side.

          Germaine was born in L’alile, Haiti, and a daughter of the late Gervil & Alcida Pinthieve Fabre.  She lived in Haiti until the earthquake of 2010, when she came to live with her daughter in New Albany.  She was self-employed in sales while residing in Haiti.  Her husband Camille Cassamajor predeceased her in 1991.

          She was a member of the New Albany United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Her greatest joy was her Lord, Jesus Christ. She would pray often and sing the tunes of many hymns. She especially enjoyed participating in the church’s prayer line.

Numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Camille, an adopted daughter, Terzulia Elismé, and a stillborn infant daughter, and by brothers: Emanes Faustin, and Berlange Brunette, and by sisters: Irasmene Hypolite, Berlianne Laurore, Carmèlise Gasbard, and Celiamine Leconte.

          Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 20^th, 2018, at 1:30 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with Pastor Kitty Keller, her pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, New Albany, PA.

          Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
