Mr. Gerald Timothee Jacques, age 76, of Wyalusing, PA, formerly of Murraytown, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital.
Gerald was born on November 21, 1944, in Uxbridge, MA, a son of the late Leonard A. & Exilia Rondeau Jacques. He graduated from Pennsbury High School, in Fairless Hills, PA, where he was a member of the class 1964. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1965 until 1967. He married the former Carol A. Shearer on August 3, 1973.
He was in building maintenance, for close to 25 years starting in Trenton, NJ, at Manpower Training Skills Center, where he attended classes for a year and a half on the G.I. Bill. He worked at Manpower for a couple of years. He then went to work in Princeton, NJ, until he began work on the Playboy Casino Hotel, in Atlantic City, NJ, where he continued for 5 years. He was also was employed at Mount Airy Lodge in the Pocono’s, from which he retired. They moved to Sullivan County in 1985, where he continued work at small jobs for neighbors.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Dushore, PA.
He enjoyed tinkering with his tools and spending time with his family.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Jennifer Ann Jacques in July of 1979.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 1:00 PM St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Dushore, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Christopher D. Long, officiating. Interment will be later in the year, with full Military Honors, at the Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Road, Robbinsville, NJ.
