Frances Josephine Pastusic

          Frances J. Pastusic, age 98, of Mildred, PA, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019, at The Highlands Care Center, in Laporte, PA.

          Frances was born on June 6, 1920, in Old Bernice, a daughter of the late Stanley J. & Anna Mary Pastula Mucha.  She attended the Cherry Township High School, and began working at the Weldon Mfg. Co., Lopez, PA.  She married Stanley J. Pastusic of Mildred, PA, on April 15, 1944.  She later worked at Sull-Craft Mfg. Co., and Dushore Lingerie.  She retired from the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. in Mildred, PA, in 1982 after 20 years of service.  

          She was a loyal member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA, and was very active in all their parish functions. She enjoyed embroidery and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

          She was predeceased by brothers:  Edward Mucha in 1945, William Mooha in 1978 and Frank Mucha in 2015 and by sisters, Helen Piasecki in 1989 and Alice Kaier in 2006.

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12^th, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor, presiding.  Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

          Friends may call at the Church Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 A.M.
