Eleanor Frances Grandinetti

          Eleanor Grandinetti of Lake Winola, PA, formerly of Murraytown, PA, passed away on February 13, 2021.

She was born on October 4, 1921, to Constantine and Josephine Yazyna Chrzanowski in Scranton, PA.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Snyder and daughter-in-law, Beckey Grandinetti. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Shirley Chrzanowski of Mildred, PA.

Grandchildren include Katrina Fabiseski and husband John, Dominic Grandinetti III and wife Lauren, Judy Grandinetti, Amy Edwards and husband Matt, Michelle Murray, Marc Jurowicz and wife Kristen.

Great grandchildren are Torilyn, Dylan, Dominic IV, Audrimae, Hannah, Avery and Ethan.

Her great-great grandchildren include Lydia, Greyson, Carmen and Zoey. She also had many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dominic (Mickey) Grandinetti, her son Dominic Grandinetti II and son-in-law Jack Snyder.

She was predeceased by five brothers, Walter in infancy, Francis “Chet” in 1971, Edward in 1997, John in 2015, and Bernard in 2018. Four sisters preceded her, Wanda Andrewlavage in 1999, Helen Ottaviani in 2009, Theresa “Tess” Vickers in 2014, and Yvonne Evangelisti in 2017.  

Eleanor enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends as well as an occasional trip to the casinos.  She crocheted many items over the years but more recently made hundreds of lap robes for local veterans. She was a member of St Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred, PA, and McDermott Post #452, American Legion Auxiliary, Mildred, PA.  

Funeral arrangements will be private and are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614.
