Elaine L. Delovich, 79, of Lopez, PA, passed away on November 23, 2025 at Skilled Nursing at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Towanda Campus.
She was born on June 22, 1946, in the San Francisco Bay Area in California to Eloise Ruthruff and Lloyd Morgan Faver, who died in the Korean War. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt. Her presence will be deeply missed. She leaves behind her husband, Thomas, children, Jacqueline and Timothy, and brother, Stephen Morgan and sister-in-law, Carol Williams.
When growing up, she lived in various places, including Galveston, TX, and the island of Taiwan, where she graduated from high school. She earned her bachelor’s degree and pursued some post-baccalaureate work at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She and Captain Delovich were married at Camp Pendleton, California on July 15, 1967, and eventually moved to Pennsylvania, and were married for 58 years until her death.
She traveled extensively in the United States of America as well as Europe, Thailand, Japan, India, Greece, Turkey, South Africa, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
Elaine was an assistant equestrian instructor at Ball State University, was a costume designer and maker for Ballet Binghamton, and was a manager of fine jewelry. She had a passion for flowers; identifying, growing, arranging, painting, sculpting them and even using them in their entirety or in parts of some of her artistic works. She loved reading, often several books at once, and was an excellent shot. She was the first woman to win the 1000 yard World Open Benchrest Match in group at the Williamsport range.
Burial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church, Lopez, PA, with the Rev. Gregory White, her pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Lopez, PA.
Friends and family may call on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
