Eileen J. Cullen

Eileen J. Cullen, 71, of Falls Church, VA, formerly of New Albany, died on Thursday, November 15, 2018 after a period of declining health.

          Eileen was born on August 8, 1947, the fifth daughter of Leonard and Helen Becraft Cullen.

          After graduating from St. Basil’s High School in 1965 Eileen worked as a Civil Servant in Washington, D.C. Most of her long career was spent working for the U.S. Department of Labor. She retired in 2004.

          She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents: and four brothers–in–law: Edward Yavorski, Douglas Johnson, Jack Fitzgerald and Joseph Dennie.

Survivors include her brothers and sisters: Katharine Yavorski, Dunellen, NJ; Helen Marie (Basil) Cooil, Ithaca, NY; Regina Dennie, Rockville, MD; Rita Cullen, Myrtle Beach, SC; Thomas (Debra) Cullen, Hackettstown, NJ; and David Cullen, Hagerstown, MD; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

          Eileen was a fiercely loyal and caring person who will be cherished in memory by all those who loved her. 

A Funeral Mass and Burial will be held on Saturday, June 29^th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor, presiding. Friends may call at the Church from: 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.  Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton, PA.
