Dorothy Mae Burbage

Dorothy Mae Burbage, age 72, of New Albany PA, passed away at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, on Wednesday December 27^th, 2017, with her loving family at her side.

          Dorothy was born June 9, 1945, in Riverside, NJ, a daughter of the late John A. and Natalie R. Tulodziecka Sutton.  Dorothy was the oldest sibling to her loving sisters Elaine and Jane.

          Dorothy worked at Macmillan Publishing and Tyco until her retirement in 1998.  Dorothy enjoyed civic activities within the many local clubs she was a member of:  Loyalsock Post 996 American Legion Auxiliary; the Monroeton Rod and Gun Club; the American Veterans Association; and the Towanda Gun Club.  These activities were among her favorite things to do, second only to spending time with her family, especially her husband Dave.

          Dorothy is survived by her spouse: Dave Sr.; son Dave Jr.; daughter Brenda, grandchildren Tyler, David and Ali; and sister’s Elaine and Jane. She is also survived and remembered by the hundreds of people whose lives she has touched along the way.

          Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at the Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside, NJ, with interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside, NJ. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the start of the service.

          A Celebration of Life will be held in PA at a later date.
