Dolores Mary Karge

Mrs. Dolores Mary Karge, age 78, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Highlands Care Center, in Laporte, PA.

          Dolores was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Alexander Nicholas & Viola Jeanette Sparnaker Ulmer.

          She moved to Sullivan County in the 1970’s to take care of her parents.  She was formerly married to Arthur W. Sick of Dushore, PA, who passed away in 1997.

          She married Cleon Willard Karge of Dushore on December 5, 1988.  He predeceased her on February 23, 2016.

          Dolores was a caring and sensitive person and a loving spouse and was a homemaker all of her life.

          She was predeceased by a brother, Alexander Ulmer of Philadelphia, PA, on April 19, 1987; sisters-in-law: Anita Winifred Karge an in infant, Rita M. Gilbert, of Forksville, PA, Shirley Karge of Nanticoke, PA, and Linda L. McDonald, of Dushore, PA; and by brothers-in-law, Melvin Kenneth Karge of Conklin, NY, Alvin George Karge of Clifton Springs, NY, and Ivan. B. Karge of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Leo E. Karge of Dushore, PA.

          Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Timothy Dendler, Pastor, of the Laddsburg Community Church, officiating.  Interment will be private in the Peace Cemetery, Dushore, PA.
