Mrs. Christine Smiley, 63, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital,

Sayre, PA.

Chris was born, in Meshoppen, PA, on August 25, 1963, the daughter of Louise Maude Ellis Kelley and the late Edward Kelley.

She graduated from Wyalusing High School with the Class of 1981.

On November 4, 1995, Chris married David Smiley. She devoted much of her life to being a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of music.

Chris treasured spending time with her family and friends. She

loved to read and had a lifelong love of music, and there was rarely there a time when music was not playing somewhere in the house.

She was a member of the Haigh’s Pond and Asylum VFWs,

where she enjoyed playing shuffleboard, pitch, and darts. More

than anything, Chris simply loved being around people. She

enjoyed getting out, visiting with friends, striking up conversations,

and sharing an enjoyable time with those around her.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
