Marks Schmid.  Carolyn’s father managed the family coffee plantation.  The coffee brand was Narok and was sold in Switzerland. After WWII, her parents sent Carolyn, her two brothers, and sister to USA for an American education. They lived with her grandparents in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.             Carolyn met her husband, Norman Weiler when he was stationed in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  He was one of the first airmen to come to start up the new Air Force Radar Station.  After getting married, they lived in many places within the country – Roanoke Rapids, NC; Biloxi, MS; Cape Cod, MA; Yuma, AZ; Point Arena, CA.  Afterwards, it was off to Wurzburg, Germany for three years.  Upon returning to the states, the family lived in Bucks Harbor, ME and subsequently settled in Dushore, PA when Norman was stationed at Red Rock Radar Station.  When the Air Force stationed Norman in Alaska for a year, Carolyn and the children remained in Dushore, PA so the children could finish their schooling.  She loved the area and decided to put down roots except for the five years she lived in Lumberton, NC.             Carolyn enjoyed many kinds of handiwork such as knitting, crochet, embroidery, plus drawing.  She also enjoyed camping with the family.   She loved hiking, looking for wild flowers, and bird watching.  Though she did not get to do it often, target shooting was another favorite sport she liked to do.             In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Alwin F. Schmid.             Carolyn is survived by: four sons, Charles L. Weiler and his wife Alice; Alwin F. Weiler and his wife Marcene; Mark A. Weiler and his wife Joyce; and Steven W.
