Carol Lynne Horner, 79, of Shunk, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, with her family at her side.
Carol was born July 9, 1946, in Sellersville, Bucks County, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence Spare Kratz and Winifred Hall Kratz.
She married Clyde “Buddy” Horner on June 10, 1977, and he predeceased by her on February 9, 2023, after over 45 years of marriage. They moved to Shunk in October of 1999.
Carol loved her family and friends fiercely. She was a true people person. She never knew a stranger, because after meeting her you were immediately friends. She looked forward to her daily bubble tea. She enjoyed camping and watching the birds and wildlife. She also loved the beach and dolphins. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Five children:
Tammy Lynne and George Triplet of Forksville; Carolynne LaSuer and Tammy Garrett of Shunk; Victoria and Donald Foust of Dushore; Kenton and Jeannie Boyer of Shunk; and Robert and Denise Boyer of Monroeton, and a stepdaughter Carol Teichman of Blanden, PA.
Carol had 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Clarence “Humphrey” Kratz, and a great granddaughter Destiny Skye Gross.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Endless Winds Volunteer Fire Hall at a later date.
Carol loved flowers, but her family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Endless Winds Volunteer Fire Co., 9721 Route 154, Shunk, PA 17768 in loving memory of Carol Horner.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
