C. Richard Leveck Jr.

September 9, 1952 — November 7, 2021

C. Richard Leveck Jr., age 69, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, FL, with his loving family at his side.

 

          Richard was born September 9, 1952, the son of the late Charles Richard & Vera Linch Leveck Sr.   He grew up in Spring Lake, NJ, and graduated from the Manasquan High School, a member of the class of 1970.  As a natural athlete from the Jersey Shore, he was a lifeguard and surfer. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds out of high school. He was awarded a double scholarship from Penn State, for baseball and football. He played under the legendary Joe Paterno. He remained an avid sports fan, supporting the NY Giants and NY Mets.

 

A top producer, he retired from auto and truck sales in 2004. He was an American History major with a huge love for history, especially the Civil War. He was a founding member of First Legion PACS, a 501(c)(3) Civil War reenacting organization, serving as corporate secretary and chief of staff to General Greg Bair. Richie was a gifted musician who played the organ and keyboard. He was always humming or singing, with vast musical tastes ranging from classic rock to Broadway and Disney music. He had a lifelong love of the Broadway Theater. Relocating to Florida only made sense for him and his love for Disney. He was sure to spread his love for Disney to his grandkids and created a tradition for them, by visiting Disney World annually thus creating many lasting memories.
