Bruno Bruce Najaka, 63, Nanticoke, passed away Oct. 11, 2017, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Nanticoke, a son of Bruno Benjamin Najaka Jr, of Dushore, and the late Mary Louise (Rule) Najaka. He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Ann Chest, of Nanticoke; son, Bruno Brian Najaka IV and his fiancee, Jessica Hamilton, both of Lititz; daughter, Nicole Rose Najaka and her fiance, Doug Wagner, both of Shickshinny; sisters, Sharon Sharkey and husband, Patrick, Newport Township, and Joann Day and husband, Bob, of Dushore; nieces and nephews, Holly, Bruno and Mikey. Bruce was a graduate of Sullivan County High School, Class of 1972; Pennsylvania State University, Class of 1977, with a degree in business and economics. He was employed as an insurance agent and financial adviser for Najaka Financial and also Prudential, Maseychik Insurance Co., NAIFA, Polish Falcons of America and Penn Mutual. His professional designations are LUTCF, BSIRE, CLTC, and Regional Vice President for the Northeast Chapter of PA Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He accepted many awards and recognitions for his work in the insurance industry. He as an active member of Penn State Alumni Association; and a devoted and lifelong member of Connell's Pond Camp and White Ash Land Association. Bruce was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and visiting his children. He enjoyed hanging out with Dave, A.W. and Bonnie. He was a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob. In lieu of flowers contributions in his name may be made to Clearbrook Scholarship Fund, 1100 E. Northampton St., Laurel Run, PA 18706. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, followed by procession to the Christ United Methodist Church, 175 S. Main Road, Mountain Top, for services at 11 a.m. with Pastor J.P. Bohanan officiating. Viewing will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
