Bonnie Jean Pennay

November 22, 1970 — September 7, 2021

Ms. Bonnie Jean Pennay, age 50, of Eagles Mere, PA, and formerly of Towanda, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 7, 2021, at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte with her lifelong friend Tara at her side.


          Bonnie was born on November 22, 1970, in Towanda, PA, the daughter of Mary Ellen Brennan Pennay and the late Edward Charles “Butch” Pennay. She attended Towanda Area High School, where she enjoyed participating in cross-country and track and was a member of the Art Club. Bonnie subsequently earned certifications in electrical work.


          Bonnie was an exceptional writer. Taking a particular interest in poetry, Bonnie submitted many of her works for publication. Bonnie enjoyed the outdoors, and swimming at Lamoka. She also loved animals, particularly her affectionate Pug-companion, Pork Chop.

She was predeceased by her father Edward Charles “Butch” Pennay on February 24, 2021.


          Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
