April Lynn Steele Bair

April Lynn Steele Bair, age 44, of Clapper Hill, Laceyville, PA, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, after a lingering illness.  

April was born on February 5, 1979, in Tunkhannock, PA, the youngest child of the late Richard Burton Steele Sr. and Verna Rosella Bagdonas Steele. She grew up in Tunkhannock and graduated from Tunkhannock High School a member of the class of 1998.

After high school she attended Keystone College for business administration. April started her family and they lived on Clapper Hill. She worked at various companies over her career in an administrative capacity, most recently at Arrow United.

She loved spending every ounce of her time with her family that she could. Her grandson, Colton, was her pride and joy. She enjoyed coaching the Wyalusing pee wee football cheerleading. She volunteered for a number of years with the Monroeton Rodeo. She loved kayaking, hunting, riding 4 wheeler, and was an outdoor enthusiast.

She was a member of the Franklindale Fire Company and also was a member of the Clapper Hill Garden Club. She will be greatly missed by all who know her, especially her friends and neighbors.

April was predeceased by her father Richard Burton Steele Sr. on April 15, 2012, and her mother Verna R. Steele on August 13, 2023.

As per April’s wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
