Annabelle Meehan Kravetz, age 95, of Mildred, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Annabelle was born at home in New Albany, PA, on November 29, 1930, a daughter of the late James Patrick Meehan Sr. and Annabelle Healey Meehan. She graduated from St. Basil’s High School a member of the class of 1948. She married Stephen Kravetz of Lopez on June 28, 1952. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing on June 19, 2003.
Annabelle worked as an Inspector for the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory in Mildred where she worked for several years until the factory closed. She loved telling stories from her working days in the factory.
She was a very proud Irishman and a devout Catholic, having traveled to Ireland twice! Annabelle was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and preparing the First Holy Communion Class. She also was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the IHM Altar & Rosary Society. She was also an auxiliary member of the McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA.
Annabelle enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and bowling. She was an avid bowler and played on many different teams throughout the years. In recent years she looked forward to playing bingo and doing arts and crafts with all her friends at the Towanda Personal Care Home. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She never failed to tell anyone she met, that her three daughters were all Art Teachers and her son an Industrial Designer/Engineer. She was also very proud of all her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Annabelle lived by the three greatest virtues: Faith, Family, and Country.

Annabelle is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of two more great grandchildren: Baby Boy Palm and Clara Diana McDonald.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings: Sister Jane Meehan of the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary; Mary (Albert) Jackson, Alice (Pete) Rice; James (Verna) Meehan Jr., and two infant siblings Francis Anthony Meehan and Kathleen Louise Meehan and by a grandson Kristopher S. Yaniello on November 26, 2021. She was also predeceased by seven brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law along with their spouse: Andrew (Della) Kravitz, John (Betty) Kravitz, Metro (Margaret) Kravitz, Mary Kravetz, Mike Kravetz, Frank Kravitz, Nicholas (Betty) Gravitz, and Daniel (Jane) Kravitz.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, at 10:30 AM and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA, with her pastor, Rev. Bert S. Kozen, presiding. Interment will follow in the adjoining parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, PA on Saturday morning, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the start of the Transferal Service at 10:30 AM.
