Adele O Meyer

January 8, 1934 — April 10, 2020

Adele O. Meyer, age 86 of Flemington, NJ, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ.

Adele was born January 8, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Herbert and Mildred Miller.

She lived in Berkeley Heights, NJ.  After her husband Bob passed away, Adele moved to Dushore, PA, and then to Whitehouse Station, NJ,  before moving to the Hunterdon Care Facility five years ago.

Adele worked for Country Manor Furniture Store in Green Brook, NJ, for 25 years and was known as one of their top sales clerks. She also worked at the Jolly Trolley Variety Store, in Dushore.  Adele enjoyed playing bingo once a week with the new friends she made while living in Dushore.  Adele loved the New Jersey shore, Atlantic City, flea markets and yard sales.  Some weekends Adele and her husband Bob did them all.

Adele was a member of the Flemington Senior Center.  While residing at Hunterdon Care, where she was the past president of the residence council, she enjoyed all the activities: the garden club, bingo, trivia, and the resident store just to name a few. She was known to be quite funny and quick witted by the care givers at Hunterdon Care.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2002 and by her two sisters, Audrey Roll and June Kleinowsky.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Meyer Frank and her husband, Jerry, of Dushore, PA; her two sons, Robert of Berkeley Heights and Randy and his wife, Suzanne of Whitehouse Station; by eight cherished grandchildren:  Jerry and Christine Frank: Scott, Michael, Christopher and Daniel Meyer and Randy and Stevie Meyer, as well as four great-grandchildren, Michael Meyer, Thomas Meyer, Logan Meyer and Aiden Meyer.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in her memory to the Friends of the Sullivan County Library, PO Box 585, Dushore, PA 18614.
