She was born October 13, 1910 in Mildred, Pa, the 11th child of John and Prudence Daly. In 1932 she graduated as a RN from the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Her husband was the late Robert A. Gray of Towanda, Pa. Florence lived and worked in Dansville, New York both in the Dansville hospital and as a volunteer nurse with the American Red Cross for over 50 years. Her son was the late Robert J. Gray. Her surviving family includes daughters: Joan G. Speer and husband Richard Speer of Fort Collins, Co.; Mary G. Candler of Raleigh, N.C; daughter-in-law Marcella M. Gray of East Hampton, N.Y. and 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday April 9 at 12 Noon at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mildred, Pa followed by burial in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery in Towanda Pa.
