Mrs. Kathryn (Kay) Devereaux Steimling, age 93, of Nordmont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2009.

Kay was born in Nordmont, PA on January 13, 1916 a daughter of the late John & Bertha King Houseknecht.

Surviving: are two Sons: Joseph Devereaux and James (Linda) Devereaux, a daughter, Nancy Powers; a daughter-in-law, Angie Devereaux; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husband, Marlin Devereaux; husband, Derwin (Duke) Steimling; a son, Jack Devereaux; daughter-in-law, Jackie Devereaux; son-in-law, Robert Powers, and two grandsons; and brothers: Giles Houseknecht, Ellis Houseknecht, George Houseknecht, Theodore Houseknecht and Abner Houseknecht and sisters: Rachel Stackhouse, Ruth Peterman, Esther Leek Kirkbride and Charlotte Little.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA.
