He held a number of senior management positions at Northern Trust including Director of Human Resources, Head of International Banking and Executive Vice-President/Chairman of Credit Policy. At the time of his retirement CEO David W. Most notably he served as Trustee of the Chicago Zoological Society (Brookfield Zoo) for 22 years, and as its Chairman from 1993-1999. He was a Life Trustee at the time of his death. He also served as President of Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, IL, President of Eagles Mere Country Club and Chairman of the Eagles Mere friends of the arts. Clyde and Louise also enjoyed extensive travels both when Clyde ran International Banking at Northern and during retirement. His travels took him to 87 different countries around the world.
