She attended the Cherry Township School, and married James J. Gardner, of Lopez, PA, on January 28, 1949. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in January of this year. Josephine worked at the former Weldon Mfg. Co., of Lopez, PA, Harrington Creamery, in Dushore, PA, and the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Co. of Mildred, PA She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, Church, Mildred, PA, and enjoyed volunteering in the community, and helping the church with its bazaars and bingo. She very much enjoyed her flower garden. Surviving spouse: Jake Gardner at home Sons: John (Kathy) Gardner Mildred, PA Richard Gardner Martinsburg, WV Daughters: Rosemary Minarsky Monroeton, PA Cynthia (Mike) Matje Hatboro-Horsham, PA Patricia (Harold) Brainard Manassas, VA Seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sisters, Rose Lang and Mary T. Juba, both of Mildred, PA, and a brother, August Angelo of Baltimore, MD A Mass of Christian Burial will at celebrated on Friday, March 4th, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with her pastor, the Rev. Richard Rojas, presiding. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass. The family will provide the flowers and direct donations to Ber-Mil Fire and Ambulance PO Box 74, Mildred, PA 18632, or the charity of their choice.
