She and Phil built a summer home together in Eagles Mere, and later, a home in Niceville, Florida where they spent the winter months. Following her husband’s passing in 2006, Nancy moved to Port Orange, Florida to be closer to her family. Nancy was predeceased by sisters Margaret Schaller and Dr. Elizabeth Szybalski. She is survived by nephews David Schaller (Meg) and Stefan Hunter; niece Barbara Hunter-Sandor (Larry); great niece Dr. Emily Schaller (Dr. David Lamb); stepdaughter Merrie Spaeth; stepson Dr. Daniel Spaeth; grandson Philip Lezar (Megan) and granddaughter Maverick Lezar.
