Albert W. "Ted" Preston

Albert W. Preston Jr., 82, also known as Ted to his family and friends passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Moran Hospice Center on Amelia Island, Florida, his home for the last seventeen years. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 17, 1933 and spent his youth in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ted was a graduate of Swarthmore College. He received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Law School. He was a partner in the intellectual property firm of Woodcock, Washburn, Kurtz and Norris until his retirement in 1999. Ted and his family were summer residents of Laporte, PA for 48 years. He loved the beauty and tranquility of their cottage on the east side of Lake Mokoma. He served on the board of directors of the Eagles Mere Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Jane of 49 years. Daughter, Cynthia Preston Arch, two grandchildren TJ and Kayla Arch, an identical twin brother Thomas Preston of Seattle, WA., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Thomas E Preston. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
