Carol A Brown

Carol A. Brown, age 68, of Forksville, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA surrounded by loving family members. Carol was born in West Chester, PA on October 16, 1946, a daughter of the late Harold Beecher, Sr. and Myrtle Shaw Beecher. She graduated from Henderson High School, Class of 1964. Carol worked in Philadelphia, PA as an Administrative Assistant for the U.S. Park Service. Carol married Stanley W. Brown of Forksville, PA on April 13, 1995, celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. She enjoyed traveling, spending part of the year in Florida, playing computer and card games, crossword puzzles, hummingbirds, and anything Elvis. Carol was a member of Auxiliaries of A.J. Bird Memorial Post #384 V.F.W, New Albany, PA, Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion, Dushore, PA, and Golden Triangle #874 Moose Lodge in Eustis, FL. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Brown and grandson, Sean Brown of Williamsport, PA; her sister, Nancy Christy (Gary) of West Chester, PA; her niece, Jenna Kicinski (Joseph, Jr.) of Exton, PA; step-sons Fred Brown (Marsha) of Barbours, PA, Steven Brown (Susan) of Forksville, PA, Tracy Brown (Crystal) of Newville, PA; step-daughters Marilee Bower (Daniel) of Hughesville, PA, Linda Etzel (Gary) of Forksville, PA, Sarah Brown (Anthony Stofanch) of Forksville, PA, and Darlene Fenton (Robert Myers) of Laporte, PA; 14 step-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was pre-deceased by her first husband, Richard Kropp; her brother, Harold Beecher, Jr.; and her step-daughter, Marlene Brown. Carol’s funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family asks that memorial contributions in honor of Carol be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
