Francis T Richart

Francis Thomas Richart, age 80, of Dushore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA Francis was born in Dushore on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1935 a son of the late Francis A. Richart and Mary Elizabeth Waldron Richart Duven. He graduated from the Dushore High School a member of the class of 1954. He married the former Eunice Karge of Dushore, PA on July 3, 1959. Francis began working for the Dushore Creamery and the Dushore Acme Store and also delivered coal for Royce Molyneux. He then began working on construction. He mainly worked for State Aggregates and the Stabler Construction Co. He retired as an Inspector of their paving projects. In retirement Francis worked for over 18 years as a driver for Fitzpatrick and Lambert, retiring last Christmas. He was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, PA. He was a loving husband, and father and most enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed visiting friends at the local legions, and playing lottery tickets and raffle tickets, and playing cards at the church bazaar. Surviving: spouse: Eunice; a son, Frank of Dushore; a brother: Richard (Bobby) Richart of Frackville, PA; and sister: Marcella Hamilton, of Mohrsville, PA; two brothers-in-law: Douglas Karge, and John (Kathy) Karge of Dushore; a sister-in-law: Irene Karge of Dushore, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Richard Rojas, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in Peace Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends and family may call at the P.
