Martin Lawerance Robinson

Martin L. Robinson, age 89, of New Albany, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Martin was born July 3, 1925 in Detroit, MI a son of the late Morton and Myrtle Culbert Robinson. Martin graduated from the Sam Houston High School in Houston, TX. He met the former Giesela Bendt of New Albany at a dance studio, they were married on July 14, 1951, and this year would have been their 64th wedding anniversary. He worked for the Houston School District as a warehouseman and lived in the greater Houston area for 34 years before retiring in 1985. In retirement he and Giesela enjoyed traveling extensively, having visited 30 states in their motor home. They moved to New Albany in 2000. He enjoyed the countryside and the peace and tranquility that comes with it. Martin enjoyed salt water fishing and he loved cars, especially Buick’s. Surviving: Spouse Giesela at home Niece: Helen (Maurice) Tate Austin, TX He was predeceased by his sister Doris Henry. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 23th 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Phyllis Pelletier officiating.
