Mr. Henry E. Campbell, 81, well known Albany Township farmer, passed away on Wednesday, March 04, 2015 Henry was born in Terrytown, PA a son of the late Chester and Estella VanNote Campbell. He was drafted during the Korean War and served two years in the Army. While in the service he married the former Florence C. Roberts of Norway Ridge, on March 13, 1954 in Lumberton, N.C. They would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary next week. After his discharge he worked for several years for G.M. in Delaware and for a garage in New Jersey. He returned home in 1961 when they purchased a farm and began a dairy farm. He also hauled milk can to creameries in Wysox and Wyalusing, and also worked for the Ross Beatty Dealership in Towanda. After the creameries closed he began hauling cattle to market, which he did until 1993. At this time he began driving a school van for the Wyalusing School District. He was a natural born mechanic and believed in John Deere and Chevrolet. He was an avid collector of John Deere items. Henry attended the New Era United Methodist Church. He was a member of Wyalusing Post #534 American Legion, Eastern Milk Producers, Burlington Motor Park Club and a life member of the Antique Tractor Club. Henry loved to visit with friends, neighbors and also strangers especially at the Sullivan County Fair. He also loved his children and grandchildren very much. Surviving: Spouse: Florence at home Two sons: Edmund Campbell Canmer, KY Andy (Bonnie) Campbell New Albany, PA Daughter: Jody (Bill) Lambert Dushore, PA Seven grandchildren: Jessica Penella, Francis Lambert, Daniel Lambert, Thomas Lambert, Benjamin Lambert, Brandon Campbell and Tyler Campbell; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; and his special Dog, “Belle.” He was predeceased by a daughter, Kimi Sue Campbell in 1959; three brothers; Donald Campbell, Gerald Campbell and Paul Campbell; and a sister: Helen Farney. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 9th 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853 with the Rev. Jim Hollister, officiating. Interment will be in the Terrytown Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8th from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Graveside Military services will be accorded by members of Wyalusing Post #534 American Legion and the US Army Honor Guard.
