Smith-Williams, age 66 of Wilmot Township, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at her home. June was born on June 19, 1948, in Morristown, NJ, a daughter of the late Alden and Eunice (Devonald) Smith. She attended Hunderton County School District and later graduated from Kutztown University with a B.A. in Art Education. From there, she migrated to Towanda, PA where she worked with Towanda's youths as a director for Sage House, and more notably, as Towanda High School's Art Teacher for 22 years. June was honored by countless students and was considered a "favorite" teacher by many. She received this compliment year after year, not merely for the subject she taught, but for the incredible manner in which she taught it. As a result of her enthusiasm and dedication, June left a positive and lasting impact on the lives of so many students. After retiring from Towanda High, June held positions at Bradford County's Sheriff's Department and Penn State Extension office. June was also known for her pottery business, Looking On, as well as collecting and selling vintage clothes...some of which have been worn on screen and stage. In addition, June found tremendous satisfaction in spending time with her close friends and family; going to "the farm" each Sunday, having lunch with the girls, visits from her kids and grandchildren, and sharing her life with her loving husband of more than 25 years. June was predeceased by a brother Devonald (Skip) Smith, and father-in-law; Richard T. Williams. A memorial will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the P.
