She was born February 17, 1930 to Thomas Patrick Cosgrove and Anna Cecilia (Buschhausen) Cosgrove in Laporte, PA. Following high school, Anne attended nursing school at St. Agnes in Philadelphia and worked at Washington General Hospital in Washington DC before passing her boards and heading to the Panama Canal Zone in the summer of 1952. Notably, both of Anne’s parents had spent time in Panama, her mother as a missionary school teacher and her father constructing Coco Solo Naval Air Base and specifically Coco Solo Hospital where Anne began working upon her arrival. Anne met and, in April of 1955, married John W. (Bucky) Hall. Children Will and Jill arrived in 1961 and 1964. In 1974, Anne and family moved from the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal Zone to the Pacific side where Anne worked at Gorgas Hospital until her retirement on September 30, 1979, the day the Panama Canal Treaty took effect. Anne and Bucky split their time stateside between Laporte, PA and Sarasota, FL. Anne continued to work part-time as a nurse in both Sullivan County and Sarasota. Anne and Bucky cruised and traveled extensively over the past 35 years. Anne is survived by her husband of 59 years John William (Bucky) Hall; son William Cosgrove (Kim) Hall of Fleming Island, FL; Jill Colleen (John) Tekampe of Sarasota, FL; sister Mary Louise Lucht of Manassas, VA, sisters-in-law Mary Cosgrove and Maureen Cosgrove, both of Laporte, PA; grandchildren Will, Sumner, Claire, Virgilia and Katherine; nieces Mary Jo and Carolyn; nephews Tom, Michael, John, Craig, Bob, and Cliff; and 11 great nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her infant sister Helen Cosgrove on November 24, 1935; her brother Thomas H. Cosgrove on November 29, 1996; her brother John P. Cosgrove on May 23, 2014; and her nephew Patrick W. Cosgrove on March 28, 2009. A Mass will be said at Saint Martha’s Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery,Laporte, PA on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
