LaPola, 70, of LeRaysville, PA, passed away Sunday June 29, 2014. John was born in Newark, NJ to the late Frank "Sweeney" and Matilda "Tillie" (nee DeAngelo) LaPola, he has lived in Pennsylvania for 30 years where he was a property manager. Mr. LaPola is survived by his brother Frank and his wife Phyllis, sister Joyce LaPola Ventola, five nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings James, Dominick and Carol. Mr. LaPola was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was multi talented and could build and repair most anything. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 8:30 A.M. from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave, Belleville, NJ. Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M. from St. Lucy's Church, Newark, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4-8 PM in the Megaro Memorial Home, Belleville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Cooley's Anemia Foundation 330 7th Ave New York, NY 10001. Local arrangements were made through the P.
